About Me
I have 20 years of experience in UX design and UI architecture on all kinds of projects, large and small, for fortune 500 companies such as Dell Technologies, AT&T and USAA as well as agencies like McGarrah Jessee and Razorfish. I’ve lead projects with multi-million dollar budgets, visibility at the Senior Executive Level, and of key strategic importance to business objectives. I have guided teams of designers, coordinating across multiple workstreams and timelines. And I have a particular enthusiasm for mentoring. I received some great advice once: if you want to master your craft, teach it. I am passionate about promoting the craft of inclusive design and imparting what I can from my many years in the field.
I have an extensive background in honing the user experience through establishing requirements/ use cases/ KPIs, realizing them through detailed wireframes and prototypes, and refining them through usability and multi-variant testing. I’m well versed in agile/lean startup methodology, UCD and the Product Team model, acting in a leadership role, and strategic thinking and planning.
I bring a wealth of knowledge, an infectious energy, and a proven track record of success with each company I’ve worked for. I believe I can unequivocally help you realize your goals and add to the growth of your organization.
Peer Accolades
"Peter was one of our most senior design strategists and a visionary leader whose smart insights and thoughtful approach played an important role in shaping the direction of our organization. He brings the qualities of a true leader, and for me, a professional mentor. His genuine care for others, paired with a deep sense of empathy, has created a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard."
“Peter is very easy to work with and always shows empathy. He is able to articulate and explain concepts and things in a very simple and precise way. He is a strong leader, backs his team throughout and keeps them shielded from pressures of work. It is always a pleasure to work with him.”
“Peter’s greatest strengths are his authenticity and generosity. He is not afraid to challenge approaches or viewpoints that are lacking in clarity, but he makes the effort to understand different perspectives and asks thoughtful questions before outlining gaps or proposing alternatives. He actively seeks and embraces feedback on his own design approach and creates a safe space in the teams he leads for more junior designers to learn and grow.”
